I forgot to bring my lunch to work today, so I don't have anything here to eat that's on my plan. (Did I tell you all that John and I are low-carbing again?) However, there are some frozen entrees that belong to me in the freezer - particularly tasty ones - and I thought I'd just eat one of those. How bad can it be.

But on low-carb, any spike in carbs throws you off for a couple days weight loss wise. So, I need to go out for lunch and get something low-carb - like a salad from Subway or DQ.

But now I'm having to wait even longer because of something here at work that I need to do before I can leave... and it's getting later... and my hunger is starting to dissipate. And that's a problem too... because if I don't eat now, I'll say, "Aw, I can skip it," and then I'll be starving before the day is over and eat way too much at "dinner" - if I make it there.

Come on Trav... I need to leave...

The Next Place

On Friday, we closed on our new lot. It's five acres in Tuscola School district, Champaign county and a Sadorus address. 480 County Road 00 N, Sadorus, IL If you google-map it, it's the five acres between the two drives - we'll be building a house in front of the house with the red roof.

The coolest thing??? Trees!!! And lots of them. YAY!

Now I can't hardly stop thinking about and designing the house. It will be much smaller this time - as we plan to spend more time playing and need the money for that instead of for sitting around in a big house. We're shooting for 1800 square feet with a full basement.

They are adopting a set of twins and the mom is in labor. YAY! Pray that everything goes well and the hurdles are "cleared" with no issues. The pregnancy is at 36 1/2 weeks (at least that's what I've heard), so hopefully there will not be premie complications.

Jen - any advice to share? :)

The kids pay attention to trucks. Tonight they saw one and were arguing whether it was red or purple. Finally, Heather made the deal that if she could spell purple that it was purple. If Hayden could spell red, that it was red. So... Hayden starts out sounding out red. Only its Hayden. Eventually he starts spelling... W. E... D.

For Hayden, that's right. Lol.

John's uncle Fred passed away this morning. Pray for the Page family: Fred's wife and lifelong sweethart Bert, their kids and their families: Freddie, Maria and Frank. And all the extended family...

Fred had a hard road these last few years.

Lord, I pray that everyone will remember and cherish the fun times that they have had with Fred. And know that he is with you Lord - and having a good old time with his sister Charlotte. Father, I pray that all of Fred's family and friends will rejoice in Fred coming home to you and feel the peace and love that only you can give. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Can't you just see Fred and Charlotte having a good old time... :)

I need to start a separate blog for the things Heather says. She is so amazing. A real blessing.

Sunday night:
John and Heather are getting ready to ride bikes. John is pumping air into his bike's tires and Heather is waiting. While waiting, there is a mostly dead worm on the garage floor. Still a little moist, with some give. Heather is lightly pressing on it with her shoe - feeling the "give" of the worm. John says, "Heather stop torturing that worm!" And she stops for a while. Then a few seconds later, she just stomps hard on it, ending it's short life.

John: Heather, what are you doing?
Heather: Sorry Daddy, I just couldn't resist.

LOL! She had a similar experience with a grasshopper when she was three where stomping on him was "the only way I could get him to stop jumping."

Tuesday at breakfast:
The kids and I (Steph) are having cereal for breakfast before school. One of the boxes on the table is Panda Puffs. Heather was reading the box (YAY!) and said, "Good for the earth and good for kids." Then she chuckled to herself and said, "Maybe we should take the rest outside and dump it on the earth."

LOL! She is such a cutie!
